We think a relationship is an exchange of value whether this be a spousal relationship or sibling or work relationship. The closer that exchange of value can be at 50/50 where each party thinks they’re giving and getting equal value, that tends to be the best relationships. It’s when one side feels that they’re giving a lot more that they’re getting is when relationships seem to crumble.
