Matt Padgett, President
Matt was born and raised in Knoxville, TN and has an undergraduate degree and MBA from Troy University where he received a basketball scholarship. He is a CPA and spent 5 years working for PwC in Atlanta. During this time he worked with many clients from a wide array of industries. He learned first-hand what it takes for a business to succeed. He then returned home to work for Ruby Tuesday in their corporate office where he worked in Investor Relations. Matt regularly met with the Founder of Ruby’s and learned what it takes to lead a large organization. Matt founded Keystone Mortgage in February 2006. Keystone has grown every year they’ve been in business. During the early years of Keystone, Matt also worked as VP and Chief Strategy Officer at BESCO electric. He helped BESCO double their revenue in just over three years and Matt was recognized as one of the top young executives in the industry. Since 2012, Keystone has grown rapidly and was named to the prestigious Inc. 5000 for the 2020 calendar year. In 2021, Keystone had another record year and Matt continues to build a world class company. Keystone is licensed in both Tennessee and Florida.
Matt has extensive knowledge in growing businesses, and excels in helping his business partners achieve their goals, both professionally and personally. He has helped hundreds of business owners reach revenue and profit levels well beyond their industry norms. He mentors many people each week and loves seeing them grow. As part of his mentoring work, Matt helps both for-profit and non-profit businesses.
Matt and his wife Dani have two sons and he is actively involved in all of their sporting endeavors. He enjoys spending time outdoors and loves running- he has participated in many marathons on the road and several ultra-marathons on the trail. Matt enjoys traveling, good company, and good wine.
